Intertainment AG: Profit Far Above Target Figures

Revenue growth of 95 per cent
Increase in target figures as from 2001

Munich, October 15, 1999 - Intertainment AG, Munich, records a marked increase in revenues and profits. In the first nine months of the current fiscal year revenues of Euro 17.1 million were generated corresponding to a growth of 95 per cent compared to the prior year figures.

The result of ordinary activities costs rose from Euro 3.6 million in 1998 to Euro 5.1 million in 1999. Taking into account the IPO costs the company recorded a result of Euro 1.8 million.

Accordingly, the return on sales of Intertainment AG before taxes and IPO costs was 33 per cent.Rüdiger Baeres, Chairman of the Board of Intertainment AG, was very satisfied: "We expect to be in a position to clearly exceed our profit of Euro 5.7 million targeted for the whole fiscal year 1999."

The co-production and co-financing agreement entered into with Twentieth Century Fox in September 1999 will affect target figures of Intertainment AG as from 2001. The revenues scheduled for 2001 were increased from Euro 250 million to Euro 290 million. For the years 2002 and 2003 the forecasts will increase even further. The revenue forecast for 2002 was increased from Euro 392 million to Euro 458 million and for 2003 from Euro 524 million to Euro 583 million.

Intertainment AG has been listed in the New Market (Neuer Markt) segment of Deutsche Börse AG since February 8, 1999. Its core business includes the acquisition and marketing of feature films as well as the international film license trade. In addition, the Company is active in the merchandising sector.
