Trial date confirmed

Trial in Intertainment's lawsuit against Franchise Pictures to begin on April 20

Ismaning near Munich, April 11, 2004 - The claim for damages by the German media company Intertainment, Ismaning near Munich, against the American film producer Franchise Pictures is set to go to trial on April 20 in Los Angeles. This was confirmed by the judge in charge in a pretrial conference on Good Friday. At the meeting that was attended by all the parties involved in the litigation, she also decided on the procedures for the trial. The case will be heard by ten jurors. There will be a ruling no later than June 11, the exact date depending on the length of the jury's deliberations.

The lawsuit has been pending for more than three years. Intertainment is suing its former partner Franchise Pictures for damages of more than 100 million US dollars on the grounds of fraudulently inflated film budgets.
