+ Revenue growth in Q1 2000 of 808 per cent
+ Operating profit increased 925 per cent


Munich, May 15, 2000 - Intertainment AG, Munich, achieved a significant increase in revenues and operating profit during Q1 2000. In the first three months of 2000 revenues in the amount of DEM 65.4 million were generated corresponding to a growth of 808 per cent versus DEM 7.2 million in Q1 1999.

The growth in operating profit exceeded revenue growth. The operating profit increased by 925 per cent from DEM 3.1 million in Q1 1999 to DEM 31.8 million in Q1 2000.

The significant growth in the first quarter was mainly generated by sales of TV-licenses in various territories. In the upcoming quarters theatrical, video and TV exploitation are expected to provide additional revenues.

Successful US movie debut of Battlefield Earth

The science fiction thriller Battlefield Earth debuted in the USA last Friday, and immediately proved to be the most successful film among new releases over the weekend. Presently available figures indicate that Battlefield Earth generated $12.3 million in revenues during its first three days of theatrical release.
